Downsizing sale of the impressive ethnic and tribal art collection in Moreland Hills, Ohio. The owners grew up in Europe and emigrated to the US in the 1960s, settling in Cleveland after medical school to complete fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic. They were prolific travelers and most of the items came from numerous foreign travels, their work with CARE in Southeast Asia as medical physicians and inherited family items. The collection includes mid-century modern Danish furniture, African and Indonesian masks, fetishes, and textiles, Australian aboriginal art, Russian icons, Asian knives and swords, rugs, Chinese money charm, Iroquois False Face masks, Kachina doll, Inuit soapstone and bone sculptures, fossils, ancient Roman and Greek artifacts, Mexican pottery, pair Russian sterling horn libation cups, South Pacific totem, elk hide rug, arrowheads, shark teeth, sterling weighted candlesticks, china dinnerware, Jaeger-LeCoultre ladies watch, Mondaine Swiss Railway watch and more.
